Riverview Trail Park
10 acres in Coventry, CT
Parking: Shoulder parking near 13 Merrow Rd, Storrs, CT
Trail Map Trails: Less than a mile Rating: ★★☆☆☆
Riverview Trail Park has a short 0.66 mile trail that follows the banks of the Willimantic River and the riparian zone along the edge.
The trail is mostly flat and easy walking though the start can be muddy after rains. On my last visit after heavy rains the last third of the trail was impassable due to flooding beyond the middle bridge marked on the map above.
This trail is also part of the Willimantic River Trail coming from Merrow Meadow to the south and a road walk to King Riverside heading north.
The trail map notes fishing and a boat launch but both are easier and more popular at Merrow Meadow Park.
History:
Established a town park in 1988 when it was donated from the Mountain Ridge Estates Subdivision.
