Fishing is allowed at two designated shoreline spots at the north end of the lake. Boating is restricted to the first 46 oar or electric boats that register at an event usually in early April.
Here is the 2019 information. Boating was temporarily suspended in 2020, though seems to have been restored.
History:
The Connecticut Water Co. has owned the majority of land around the lake since at least 1926.
