There was once a loop trail here, but as of November 2024 there is just a 0.25 mile connector from Rt. 85 to the back of Pendleton Drive. I parked at the St. Peter’s parking area and headed down the trail past their outdoor pulpit. The trail crosses over a stream on a bridge set atop large flat rocks.
The trail follows the property edge directly behind the Discovery Learning Center and AHM (Andover Hebron Marlborough) Youth Services. In the woods behind AHM is a handsome firepit and stage built by Hebron’s first female Eagle Scout though it appears seldom used. Large fields sit at the east side of the property.
I did see the evidence of the loop trail just past the bridge, a faint blaze and a even fainter path. I followed what I could find for about two hundred feet but lost it beyond that.
Town owned open space adjacent to this parcel may one day open up opportunities for connections to nearby Raymond Brook Park.
The St. Peter’s Parish has owned the property since at least 1961.
