21 acres in Mansfield, CT
Recently expanded trails (2017) to .7 miles that connect Browns Rd, Fitch House Bed and Breakfast, and Schoolhouse Brook Park. The main features include a ‘mysterious’ double stone wall and a crossing along Chapin Brook.
I’ve always visted the preserve from Schoolhouse Brook, but saw that shoulder parking was improved on Browns Rd in early 2020.
An old orchard existed on part of the property and a stand of trees that survived a brush with the 1938 hurricane.
