Black Pond Boat Launch

Connecticut State Boat Launch

41 acres in Woodstock, CT

Parking: Small lot down a driveway off Camp Road

Trail Map     Trails: No Trails      Rating: ★★☆☆☆

Not to be confused with Meriden’s Black Pond.  This listing is for the Woodstock pond.

Driving down the gravel road past the YMCA camp compound and after a bit you’ll reach a driveway down to the boat launch.  There is room for about 10 cars or about 5 trailers and a couple cars.  The boat launch is a gravel ramp down to the water.  Engines are allowed with a 5 HP limit.

The pond is 73 acres with a couple small inlets.  It is 23 feet at its deepest and about fourteen feet on average.  The main catch here seems to be bass and perch.
