I stumbled across this property when I went to hike the northern section of the Shenipsit Trail just down the road. It turns out that I visited just two days before the Grand Opening.
A light snow was falling as I headed past the freshly built trailhead kiosk, ornamental sign, and watercolor trail map. It also explains why the trail was freshly raked and clear. The trail heads slowly downhill until it cross Kimball Brook using Key Bridge. It follows the slope of the hill over heavy roots and past a tiny cascade to recross the brook.
The last bit back to the parking area is a winding trail that would make any mountain biker jealous. It is a fairly simple loop and perhaps it was just the falling snow at the right time, but I really enjoyed this short hike.
