Trail Map Trails: 1.5 miles Rating: ★★☆☆☆
From the Lutheran Church the trail starts just over a wooden bridge stream crossing and heads off into the woods. Along this short stretch are aging fitness trail obstacles like a broken balance beam, fading benches, and a pull up bar.
The trail gradually ascends to the first fork with either direction leading to a short interior loop. Trails are quiet compared to busy nearby Storrs, but usually run into another hiker or two. Side trails off the interior loop provide access to nearby housing complexes and Hanks Hill Rd.
On my last hike in 2018 there were a couple passive UCONN student projects taking place in the woods, but my notes on what they were seem to have been lost this site crashed.
History:
Initially preserved in 1998. with additional gifts of 5 acres 2009 and eight acres in 2015.
