- Blue – Menunkatuck Trail – 2.34 miles
- This section of the blue blaze 235 New England Trail enters the property from the southeast corner of the property on a long boardwalk to climb among laurel around a small hill. The trail then travels old woods roads to cross a beautiful water pool at a well built bridge over Iron Stream. After navigating between the stream and some rocky outcrops you’ll reach ‘Paradise Pool’ just below Upper Guilford Lake, it was a peaceful spot to stop for lunch on my thru-hike. The rocks change to pines as you follow the curves of the pond though there are only small window views on this side of the water. You’ll soon turn north away from the water over mostly flat terrain to reach Rt. 80.
