The Town of Madison makes the Godman Group Campsite available to scout groups and New England Trail hikers for free on a reservation system. The site features at least 5 tent platforms, a privy, and group meeting area with seating. I stayed here during my October 2024 hike of the NET and not only was the site great, but communication with the town was simple and easy.
Reserveration Link – Two weeks notice is necessary. Two night limit.
The Town of Madison purchased the property in 1997 for $4.8 million.
