- Menunkatuck Trail – Blue Blaze – 2.7 miles
- Coming off the road for the first real hiking trail of this section of the 235 mile New England Trail, you head up a short hill to a rocky view of the namesake East River. The trail passes an old dam and spillway, crosses Duck Hole road, and goes through unique rocky terrain. You then skirt the edge of some fields, return to get up close with the river. The property switches to open fields near the western parking area before crossing old stonewalls and through rolling forested landscape until crossing into Nut Plain Woods

- Heading south: 3.9 mile road walk coming from Chittenden Park
