Trail Map       Trails: Less than a mile        Rating: ★☆☆☆☆

The Dorothy Goodwin Reserve has rough shoulder parking along Browns Road next to the trailhead kiosk.  The trail heads off to the left to a small knoll with a rocky ledge.  The Joshua’s Trust walk book says that this stone matches stone found in Africa.

The trail makes it way off the knoll and splits at its base.  The loop is so narrow and so infrequently used that it can be a crapshoot which branch you end up on.  I have visited in both fall and summer and both required navigating by blazes since the footpath was so faint.

The left fork follows a stone wall along the property boundary and winds its way through some fallen trees until it crosses a small seasonal stream.  The backside of the loop is surprisingly a bit easier to follow perhaps thanks to its denser understory.  The trail heads back towards the road heading up over the rocky knoll once more.

History:

Preserved in 1993 when it was donated by Dorothy Goodwin.
