To get the full loop here I parked near the basketball courts and hiked down towards the Mt. Hope River. There are a couple easy access fishing spots here. From there a mowed grass path heads through a flat area and enters the trees following the curve of the river. There are several nice river views. The trail is occasionally blazed with a white dot.
Eventually the trail turns away from the water and climbs gradually to cross a couple bridges/boardwalks with small signs thanking local businesses for donating supplies. Finally the trail comes out at the far south end of the field and passes the ball fields back to the parking area.
There is also 0.35 easy walking path around the ball fields for strolling which starts next to the pavilion.
