Hiking
From the shoulder parking on Daniel Peck Road the trail heads downhill quite a ways on very rooty and seldom used trail. There area a number of fallen tress which lots of interesting mushrooms and lichen to see. As the ground levels out the red trail heads off to the left following a marshy stream. After crossing the seasonal stream it is a short walk down to a view of the reservoir. If you look through the woods to the left you’ll likely be able to see the adjacent Sabine Reserve‘s blue trail though the two trail systems don’t connect (perhaps due to a sliver of private property?).
Take the red trail back up to return to your parking area.
