From the parking lot the trail heads into the woods and over a narrow bridge opening into a gravel road and field. The disc golf course starts off to the left behind the large LMP sign. The trails start just a bit off to the right.
The park was very popular when I visited with several groups playing disc golf, people walking their dogs, and a team practicing on the baseball field. I wandered the inner trails which are much more numerous than just the ones outlined on the map above. The blazes also feel very inconsistent seemingly heading off in multiple directions or lacking any blazes at all.
I had intended to hike the outer blue loop, but after wandering and consulting the trail map after it seems I stayed mostly within the red loop. I’ve got to come back here to play a round of disc golf so I’ll get another crack at the trails then.
The course here is 9 holes switchbacking between mostly open fields and a bit of forest. The course seems targeted towards beginners with 7 holes under 300ft and 2 in the 300-400ft range.
